When Leo and I first started photographing weddings, I had a quiet dream. I wanted to photograph a wedding at Flying Caballos Ranch in San Luis Obispo. There’s something special about that place. The rolling hills, the endless sky, and the way the light settles over the land make it feel both vast and intimate. So when Nat and Gabi told us they were getting married there, my heart skipped a beat.
And the day did not disappoint.
Nat and Gabi filled every detail with their personalities. Their wedding was joyful, colorful, and truly them. Guests arrived in vibrant outfits that blended perfectly with the San Luis Obispo backdrop. The ceremony overlooked the ranch’s signature rolling hills, beautifully framed with flowers by Brook Eldelman Floral.
Many thoughtful touches shaped the day. Nat designed and hand-painted all their signs, adding a personal, artistic layer to the celebration. Kacey House of Spark + Sparkle Events brought everything to life with smooth planning and fun, colorful design details that matched Nat and Gabi’s energy perfectly. As the sun set, Lucky Devils Band kept the night alive with amazing live music that got everyone on the dance floor.
From start to finish, it was a celebration full of energy and heart. A few highlights we will always remember include the line dancing that had everyone moving, Gabi’s surprise live performance of “Man, I Feel Like a Woman” with the crowd cheering every word, and the undeniable love that filled the ranch from their closest friends and family.
If you dream of a San Luis Obispo wedding at Flying Caballos Ranch, Nat and Gabi’s day shows just how magical the mix of natural beauty, personal touches, and unforgettable moments can be.

LOS ANGELES ENGAGEMENT SESSION WITH GRIT AND HEART
Los Angeles is full of contrasts—sunny streets and gritty corners, hidden beauty in unexpected places. For Caren and Junho’s engagement, we skipped the typical spots and explored the city’s quieter, overlooked corners. We even took a subway ride together to see LA from a new angle. We explored East Hollywood and took a subway ride to the Union Station.
Sometimes love feels most alive in the unexpected places.

Los Angeles is full of contrasts. Sunlit streets sit alongside gritty corners, and there’s unexpected beauty around every turn. For Caren and Junho’s Los Angeles engagement, we skipped the usual scenic spots and went for something more real. We explored neighborhoods that often get overlooked and took a subway ride to see the city from a different perspective.
There’s something about the energy here, a mix of history, movement, and everyday life that comes alive in photos. Caren and Junho embraced it all, laughing on station platforms, leaning into the warm light filtering through the city streets, and holding hands as the world moved around them.
This L.A. engagement wasn’t about perfection. It was about the little moments, the shared adventure, and the reminder that love can make even the busiest, grittiest spaces feel like they’re yours alone.
