When Leo and I first started photographing weddings, I quietly hoped that one day we’d get to work at Flying Caballo Ranch in San Luis Obispo. There’s something about the open land there. The rolling hills, the wide sky, the way everything feels calm and expansive at the same time. So when Nat and Gabi told us they were getting married at the ranch, it immediately felt special.

Their wedding day felt true to who they are from start to finish. It was colorful, warm, and easy in the best way. Guests arrived wearing outfits that felt natural against the San Luis Obispo landscape, adding to the relaxed energy of the day. The ceremony took place overlooking the ranch’s rolling hills, with florals by Brook Eldelman Floral that felt thoughtful and organic, never overdone.

The personal touches really stood out. Nat designed and hand painted all of their signage, which added a creative, hands on layer throughout the day. Kacey House of Spark + Sparkle Events planned and designed the wedding, keeping everything running smoothly while bringing in playful, colorful details that reflected Nat and Gabi perfectly. As the evening settled in, Lucky Devils Band filled the space with live music and kept the dance floor busy all night.

A few moments we won’t forget include the group line dancing, Gabi’s spontaneous performance of “Man, I Feel Like a Woman,” and the genuine love that surrounded them from their friends and family. Nat and Gabi’s Flying Caballo Ranch wedding felt relaxed, joyful, and deeply personal, a true reflection of who they are.

LOS ANGELES ENGAGEMENT SESSION WITH GRIT AND HEART

Los Angeles is full of contrasts—sunny streets and gritty corners, hidden beauty in unexpected places. For Caren and Junho’s engagement, we skipped the typical spots and explored the city’s quieter, overlooked corners. We even took a subway ride together to see LA from a new angle. We explored East Hollywood and took a subway ride to the Union Station.

Sometimes love feels most alive in the unexpected places.

Los Angeles is full of contrasts. Sunlit streets sit alongside gritty corners, and there’s unexpected beauty around every turn. For Caren and Junho’s Los Angeles engagement, we skipped the usual scenic spots and went for something more real. We explored neighborhoods that often get overlooked and took a subway ride to see the city from a different perspective.

There’s something about the energy here, a mix of history, movement, and everyday life that comes alive in photos. Caren and Junho embraced it all, laughing on station platforms, leaning into the warm light filtering through the city streets, and holding hands as the world moved around them.

This L.A. engagement wasn’t about perfection. It was about the little moments, the shared adventure, and the reminder that love can make even the busiest, grittiest spaces feel like they’re yours alone.
